The terms and conditions and benefits may generally vary between different policies as well as insurers. For example, some insurers refuse to offer coverage for those patients who have received treatment for an already existing disease or illness in the last 1 year. Other providers may insist that senior citizens over 65 years old should undergo screening tests regardless of whether they take any medication or not.
The premiums of international travel insurance coverage vary dramatically between different insurance providers and hence, overseas travelers having health complications need to spend time to scout around and find a suitable international visitor medical insurance plan customized to their needs.
In addition, many of the insurance providers do not offer coverage for disorder like Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, HIV patients and many more travelers with complications in their health.
Hence, travelers especially with health disorders should go through the terms and conditions of the international travel medical insurance plan along with the conditions of exclusions.
