India is a magical place. A place for a billion people speaking hundreds of dialects, a place where tradition and technology seamlessly meet. One needs to look beyond the cattle and beggars on the street, and slums too, to understand and assimilate the magic that permeates India.

Ever since Columbus set out to find India, and ended up discovering America to this day and for millenniums before, it is a land that has charmed one and all. Everyone who visits India comes back with a mixed bag of memories. Many have, unfortunately, returned with Malaria too. Make sure that you always travel with a specially created Indian tourists insurance policy.

Yes, India is also home to the female anopheles mosquito, the carrier for malaria-causing microbes. While it is relatively easy to protect oneself against its bites (all it needs is a good mosquito net), some tourists are unfortunate enough to be bitten by an industrious mosquito bent on spreading the disease.

In spite of all the precautions, if you do get infected, fret not, for malaria is 100% curable. It might cost you a bit, but then that can easily be taken of by a good tourists insurance.
